The Wisconsin Timber Wolves hockey team is the first special hockey team in Wisconsin, started in 2009. The program is dedicated to providing children and adults with developmental disabilities an opportunity to play hockey. Among the goals are teaching skating and hockey skills, and promoting and emphasizing the development of sportsmanship, team spirit, increased confidence & self-esteem, and team unity.
